With so many new innovations and platforms coming with this new age digital marketing it is hard to believe and relate how blogging is still essential for any business as a part of their digital marketing strategy. A few weeks ago I was also having the same questions that how a blog is still far better than a social media post, which gets an instant view and high reach and Do people prefer reading long blogs instead of one-liners that are easy to read and understand. And one of my colleagues helped me out with these queries and he simply gave me 4 reasons for this, which I am gonna share here.

Four reasons Why blogging is essential for the growth of a business-

  1. Drive traffic to the website: Do people directly search for your company name? And we know the answer to this, obviously NO, they don’t. They search for the relevant content related to the service they are looking for. And Blogs help you to create relevant content for your customers and this helps people to find your website on the google search. Try creating Awesome content related to the services you are providing and then see how this increases the traffic to your website.
  1. Increase SEO:Fresh content that is relevant to the customers is still a key to beating out your competitors in the search engine result. You can use relevant keywords and the Titles to boost your ranking in the Google search or for this matter any other search engine. And to add on Google Search still works on the basis of blogs and content rather than the videos or social media posts.
  1. Establish authority:Blogs help you position your brand as an industry leader. Well written articles demonstrate your company as the King of the industry. By posting the topics which are relevant to your market, shows your knowledge and expertise in that field. So stop marketing your services and start marketing your skills, which will help you reach more potential clients.

So to conclude, blogging is still relevant and more effective than youtube/Tik Tok/vine videos when it comes to digital marketing. The focus should not be one creating random blogs, it should more about the content which is required by the customers.
